Tour and Special Parish Assembly

The Special Parish Assembly is being held to discuss options for our relocation to the campus of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, and to vote on moving forward with this location. Tours of the specific facilities available for our use, located at the west end of the campus, will be conducted from 10:00-11:00 A.M. the morning of the assembly.

A copy of the notice and agenda for this meeting has also been mailed to all of our stewards. The various other locations considered by the Parish Council and the Real Estate Ministry Team will be briefly reviewed for comparison purposes. The key provisions of our proposed agreement in principal with the St. Thomas More Catholic Church will be presented in detail including: the space we will exclusively occupy, the space that will be shared, amenities available to us, services included in the rental fee, costs compared to our approved budget, cost and timetable for improvements needed to the worship area, and a likely start date for our worship on the St. Thomas More campus.

The assembly will be conducted in the church building where the Catholic parish worships, which is located on the east end of the campus. This is not the area where our weekly services would be held, but is being made available for our use in conducting the meeting. Our Parish Bylaws state that a member is in good standing and thereby eligible to vote at the Special Parish Assembly if he or she has submitted a stewardship commitment card for 2015 and satisfied their stewardship obligation for 2014. Because our Parish did not exist until August 2014, members will be considered to have satisfied their stewardship obligation for 2014 if they paid at least ⅓ of their annual commitment for that year.
